Hunting/Training vests
Hunting/Training vests
So far I've just been stuffing my jean pockets with dummies and random training supplies, but I was wondering if anyone had opinions on some good vests for use both while training and for hunting.
I saw some of the WingWorks vests and they seemed pretty nice overall, but figured I'd check to see what everyone preferred.

We both have Cabellas. They have tons of pockets, plus at least one that is water resistant for putting "messy" birds into. Also areas for shells.
Throw them in the washer/dryer & they come out as good as new.

I have a Browning Pheasants Forever Strap Vest. Only have one season on it. Seems decent. One thing I wish it had was a spot for water bottles.

Cabelas Lite n load strap vest. By far the most comfortable vest i have ever worn. I have a water deal that i took out of my camelback and put in it, mine holds just over a gallon and a half of water. The vest feels like you are wearing a normal hunting pack, plenty of space for birds, transmitters, dummys, shells, and it has the ability to take a water bladder. I used mine last season and I gave my old vests to my huntin buddies.

I just don't care for strap vests much. I want to like them, I've just never put one on I liked wearing.

I have English Pointers because they don't ever grow up either...

I looked and looked at vest before I decided on the Wing works vest it has everything I wanted or needed in a vest lots of room and lots of extra's to add too or remove from the vest I also liked the shell pouches off to the sides no more banging the legs. can carry lots of water and they even sell a holster for your garmin astro. the vest can also be fitted with a holster for your handgun. has a pocket for the e collar transmitter it does all I wanted and very well built.

Tbi makes a good training vest. It may take a while to get one but they have good bird pockets and other pockets.
