Few more questions
Everyone has told me to get a wing and put it on a pole. Ok done now what. Do I just hold it in front of her and let her sniff it? Do I drag it on the ground and let her find the sent?
Thanks in advance for the help.

You cannot substitute a wing on a string for actual birds and expect to conduct a productive training session for the pup. With real birds that are going to fly away that will stimulate the pointing instincs of the pup by scenting the bird. A wing on a string will get the pup to sight point and that is about it. Find a bird source and plant the birds in light cover for your pup. Also don't talk to the pup while she is on point. Let her keep her focus on the bird.

The wing on the string is a good way to see a young pup sight point. But once you have used it few times I would put it away and just take the pup for a walk or if available plant a few live birds. The wing has lost its smell so all it is really doing is just letting the pup sight point.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!
Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

The wing on the string is a sight point game...once pointed throw it away
I like a good flight conditioned quail....let the pup I am speaking of 5 - 10 week old pups play bump and chase...
A well bred pup should have a strong natural prey drive
