happy with trainer

Post by larue » Mon Jun 19, 2006 9:12 pm

As the opposite of the earlier poster,I am very happy with what I am
seeing out of the trainer I am paying to train my dog,dan hoke.
He has been honest with me,and I am already seeing why he has been as successfull as he has been.
Here is a pic of eva, with dan early on in her steadiness training.

Glad to hear everything is working out for you with your trainer.
I have every confidence in the trainer is sent my puppy of to as well (Bob Burchette).
I did my home work and checked refferences and have ridden many braces that Bob handled dogs he has trained. I would not have sent my dog off to some one I didn't trust. I am however looking forward to him coming home.

Thats a good feeling when you and the trainer are on the same page.

Like the pic, one of the few times I've ever seen Eva not moving and it is a still photograph. She looks good on that pigeon.

When do expect to get her back?

I am waiting to see on where she is at in august,if another month will really help her,she will stay with dan.
I would like her to come home in time for my montana hunting trip, but
it will depend on where she is in her training.
It is possible that I will pick her up in eureka in oct,but I really do want her home before that.
Dan has the ability to keep a dog looking great through the flush,
I saw that in all of his dogs he ran in there trial I judged.
This is one of the reasons she is out with him.
As you have seen, eva brings all the power I need, she is with dan to
get the manners and class she needs to win.
You should have been at her last derby run,at pine island,I lost count of the number of birds she pointed,it was around 8 or 9 I think.
She ended up taking 2nd,her first non win in a derby when she had a bird, but she really got hung up by the birds in the back half
A fun going away day for eva.
I will be up in minnesota again in sept,it sounds like I will be judgeing at
colfax later in sept.

That 8 or 9 bird run can be a doozy. The last leg of SH I put on Boomer in early june he had 7 birds, nerve racking at times.

I'm glad to hear that you will be in colfax for our trial. I think I'm gonna be judging a stake or two and bring Boomer out of the MH tests for a weekend and run him in a stake or two.
