Training Pics Part III

Post by ultracarry » Sun Mar 25, 2012 9:04 pm

The other one was getting pretty stacked with pics... Some were giant! So compact them or make them reasonable. As a rule of thumb if they come straight from a camera or your phone you will have to resize...

On the full pic I have the sequence of her as the covey is taking off (3 shots came out) . Some good training for being right off a highway.

The second post was for Matt. The dog (java) is related to Kimber but more of the rockin rollin billy stuff. He knows how to run! Points with a lot of style too. Carl porter trained and runs him.

Troy08er has some killer areas for early season quail. We will have to bribe him to take us. I'll take you later in the season when there are less snakes. It's super Thick.

This is what my dog thinks about standing broke: Image
I remember this bird because he was running and slammed on point while I was a couple hundred yards away... walking... walking... I get closer and the wind blows a bit and he swings his head around like a robot following the scent to the left I couldn't help but think of him say "bird is right there dummy, you sure took long enough to get here"

That Reba is something else. I was the one that took her up to Milepost 9 for Ron Miller last year and spent a couple weeks with her. Nice dog!

Getting Lucy ready for broke dog stakes this fall. She's coming along good. I normally don't use the CC with her anymore, but one of the places I train is pretty tight and techincal so it's easier to put one on her to get her going the places I need her to. It was a warm afternoon, but still had a good time.

P.S. pay no attention to the icecream truck and carnival rides.

I know you like to train with distractions but the carnival rides is taking it to a whole new level.

Looks like her backing is coming along nicely!
