TICKS ARE BAD
This is just a reminder. Winter was not bad enough this year to kill bugs. Ticks are terrible here in Missouri so please remember to treat our friends to protect them. Enjoy your summer.

Re: TICKS ARE BAD
I was just running a trial in southern ohio this weekend, and the ticks were like flies! I found one left over on each of my dogs even with frontline plus and a collar and checking them before we left.
Be diligent cause they are BAD!!!!! this year.

Re: TICKS ARE BAD
They're out early here in Oregon as well. Found two on me and one on the dog last Thurs. Nasty little buggers
Re: TICKS ARE BAD
Picked a few off the dog over the weekend, didn't find any on myself. Then this morning I find a dead one in the house. Hope I didn't miss any on me.
Re: TICKS ARE BAD
Well the good thing about the warm winter is that the tick cycle will end earlier this year.
Re: TICKS ARE BAD
Agreed! It's like we never even put the K9 Advantix on the dogs we pulled so many ticks off. Anyone know of anything better to try?

There is a cycle? We have them all year. Unless there is much snow on the ground and even then we have them on occasison.

Some really get info from the ALDF. http://aldf.com/deerTickEcology.shtml and their 2 year cycle etc. Mcbosco, what do you mean it will "end" sooner because of the previous warmer winter?

Re: TICKS ARE BAD
That just speaks of the ticks life cycle. And its stages. This winter shows us that they can and do thrive all year. Come to my neck of the woods. The lull in winter activity of ticks has more to do with ground snow cover, tempratures etc. I have had them on the dog in Feb. during a warm day with just a little ground snow.
IMHO as it maybe.
