Bark Control Methods

Post by nick.reed00 » Thu Jun 28, 2012 7:30 am

Has anyone had any success with the area/sonic bark control units. I was thinking about getting one of these:

http://www.ultimatebarkcontrol.com/ds_p ... e=Main-Tab

or one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/Super-Bark-Free-R ... 37&sr=1-49

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Nick

I would recommend the Dogtra bark collar. I have had one for ten years and never had an issue. Buy quality and you will never regret it.

I would have my credit card out in less than a blink of an eye if it worked as good as they say it does. I would love to solve my barking problem for 70$ heck i would gladly pay 280$ to have one on all four corners of my main kennel complex.

I called Lion country supply they would not endorse a similar product they carried for my situation.

Dan at Phantom kennels told me hes tried everything and collars are the only way to go. When i go there the Same collars that Mr Kroll reccomended to you are hanging on the kennel doors and ready when needed.

I wish it was not necessary and there was another option that worked. dogs become collarwise and when left on for long periods of time the probes dig in to the dogs neck.

I am very interested to hear a sucess story from a few people on here that have used a non collar system that works.

Most experienced dog people - kennel owners - etc will use a traditional bark collar - e.g., Dogtra or Tri-tronics.

While I like the idea of the non-electrical - I don't see how it could work in a multi-dog environment. One dog barks and they all get punished.

Wonder how far the ultrasonic sound projects? If your dog barks, does the neighbor dog get the signal too?

Each one of my dogs has their own TT Bark Limiter from Gun Dog Supply. The collars hang on the kennel gates most of the time but they work when needed.

used to be a system that activated sprinklers....could build one but its the microphone/detector thats the hard part. And yes one dog barks all get sprayed but it works....

High pressure water hose will stop alot of barkers (maybe not all) if applied right and consistently .....
