They grow up fast, don't they?

Hi, all.

My Weimaraner boy, Remy, is now just shy of 8 months old. They sure do grow up fast!

Here's a pic of Remy from 6 October, 2012 - his first day home with us. He was 8 weeks old:


Here's a pic of Remy retrieving his favorite dummy when he was 14 weeks old:


Here's a pic of Remy just before he turned 5 months old:


And here is a couple of pics I took of Remy this past weekend - he'll be 8 months old next week and now weighs in at just shy of 70 lbs:




He's still having fun being a pup and learning the basics for now, but at the end of May he's going of to the Autumn Breeze kennels in Isle, MN, to learn how to be a bird dog. I am absolutely looking forward to seeing Remy in the field and can't want til I get to snap that first pic of him bringing a bird back to me. That will be a proud day, for sure.

Thanks! He's a ham for the camera, too. I hope that bodes well for some great field pics later in the year.

The funny part is that he was the runt of the litter. Dawna (at PM Weims) said she guessed he'd be somewhere around 55-60 lbs when full grown, but did add the caveat that one never can really tell. I was a little worried that he might be on the small side for hunting, but I think I can set those fears aside. The snow's starting to melt here in North Dakota, so he'll be running around outside even more in the next few weeks. I think he's going to start bulking up quite a bit soon.
