What's in your Hunting Vest?
What do you carry afield? Why?
I was looking at the "...pockets" thread and I remembered this past season, I put a pretty good kit together for my hunting vest.
I carry a roll of vetwrap, a gauze pad or two, eye wash, alligator forceps, tweezers, a caplet of Benedryl, a few pain pills (Tramadol), a few antibiotic pills, superglue, moleskin, maybe a few other things I can't recall, and, of course, lots of water depending on how far I plan to go. I think it's a good idea to inventory my vest kit before a big hunting trip to a new area. Some trips where I'm never more than a few hundred yards from the truck where my big kit is, I don't even need a vest kit.
I did add a syringe and vial of injectable Benedryl last season, since the weather started out really warm and snakes were a concern.

Mostly, more than necessary.
I try to pare it down more at the start of every season.
Vest makers put in waaaay too many pockets and geejaws.

Re: What's in your Hunting Vest?
Trap setter tool for conibears, knit hat and finger-less gloves if it's late season, more shells than I'll need (unless you're walking out of the woods with your limit, there's nothing worse than walking out without any shells...ok, there are things way worse, but still,) two water bottles on my hips and Swedish fish and energy bars (type 1 diabetic.)
