I subscribe to NRA Hunter, NAHC, QU, and Pointing Dog Journal. PDJ is the best of all of them hands down. I also like the PDJ forum also. Since we are on this fine forum, I suppose there is a Gun Dog journal but I don't know about it if there is. I like PDJ because I have no interest in retrievers and flushers.

PDJ, Gun Dog, and Field Trial magazine.

PDJ, Field and Stream, the Heartland, Ohio Valley Outdoors, the Family Handyman and I bum copies of Civil War Times from my dad when he is done.
I hardly have time to read them all before the next issue comes along. I have a backlog right now

American Field, Field Trial Magazine, Pointing Dog Journal, Shooting Sportsman, Sporting Classics.
I think the best of the best, carrying the info. and articles I'm interested in reading.
The Christmas Issue of the American Field comes out this weekend...Whoopee! Always looking forward to it. I've got Xmas issues going back to the 1800's.

American Field, cause it is where I get field trial news, and GSP Chronicle for the same reason. I get Gun Dog Magazine cause I have subscribed since Issue One, day one. Other than that, I buy at the newstand after looking at what is in the issue. Have read most of the retread articles a few times by now, and so I avoid magazine issues with retreads. If there is something unique or interesting I will buy it.

PDJ and Field & Stream. F&S doesn't have too much for upland hunters though, but is still a good read. I dropped the North American Hunting Club because it had absolutely nothing for upland hunters. I just don't go on enough big game hunts to keep me interested in a mag like that. The annual whitetail doesn't get me that juiced up.
I got a free 1 year subscription to Outdoor Life for spending over $25 at Gander Mountain (had to buy an ATV battery). It was a choice between Outdoor Life and F&S, and since I already subscribe to F&S the choice was easy. Haven't gotten the mag yet though.
And I recently started getting Gun Dog as a gift and I gotta say, I like that magazine too. It helps that the second one I got there was a vizsla on the cover. Really, though, I find the articles in Gun Dog to be very well written without a lot of the extra descriptive fluff that can sometimes clutter the meat of a story in some of the other mags. For example, if it takes the writer three paragraphs to describe the weather... I've lost my interest and end up flipping the pages looking for pictures.

I get American Field...the best
PDJ and Gun Dog. Both are good but have slipped in substance over the years.
As a NRA llife member, I get American Rifleman. Great legislative news on our gun rights.
I am member of VDD-GNA and get their very informative blotter/newsletter.
Finally, I get the GSP Chronicle Online produced by Arlene Waker. Great info and comes via email.

The NAVHDA magazine, PDJ, and Grey's Sporting Journal (my favorite...I drool over the shotguns they advertise which are WAY beyond my budget)...along with Fly Fisherman, and Flyfishing in Saltwaters.

The American Field
Re: what mag's do you subscribe to
I get Gun Dog right now but when this subscription ends I'm going to switch to Pointing Dog Journal. I switch back and forth between American Rifleman and American Hunter. I think my next issue I'll start getting American Hunter. I travel a bit for work and when I'm out of town I'll stop by a bookstore and if there is something interesting in Shooting Sportsman or Upland Journal or something I'll pick up one of those.
