Thanks Outbak Kennels.........
Just a big thanks to my good friends Rich and Miss Joyce barber of Outbak kennels, first off for there hard worked and much deserved win in the National OGD with Jade, shes a super nice little bitch....(actually my wife wants to bring her home).
Second I just saw where my bitch Jill is placed in the GSPCA OLGD 7th in points so far and ranked #2 OLGD AKC dogs defeated so far this year with I think a couple more trials to register yet she should finish up with around 120 dogs defeated in the OLGD stakes this year, really not a brag for me at all but more for my bitch Jill who for the last 5 years has been mainly just a wild bird hunting dog, with occasional trial placements and more so to my good friend Rich Barber @ Outbakkennel.com.
It has been his hard work and training camps that have made her the dog she was always capable of. If you have never seen his winter camp IMO it is by far the greatest thing for young dogs or finished dogs, just great gounds and alot of work everyday by Rich and Joyce, probably some of the best grounds in the southeast to train on IMO, some short piney woods to make em handle (which Rich is a master of by the way) and some big open fields with wild coveys to boot. I spent a week down there last year and it was awesome, one should be so lucky to have those grounds, highly reccomended.
Thanks again buddy much appreciated...

Congrats Chip, sounds like Jill has been doing very well. Not surprising for what I saw out of her!

I was the Judge's Marshal at GSPCA Gun dog nationals. You dog made some great moves to the far reaches of the course and the win was well deserved. I had to give Rich a bad time before the winner was announced. I won't tell you what he called me afterwards after the announcement. Your dog did it all, I was very impressed. The judges let me in on the decision as who was the champion and there was no doubt your dog was it. Again Congratulations

Thanks for the compliment Brooks, but I don't own Jade.
Rich was telling me the story, that was good stuff. My dig did not fair so well at the nationals this year, she did pretty good the spring and fall trial season though.
Congrats to you Sir at Nationals

Still you have had great season with your dogs and you should be applauded for that. As for Trey, that was his second National Championship and that makes it two in a row for him. He was one of those one in million dogs. He is asgreat in the house as he is in the kennel. He is just a joy to be around. I have finally got my place straightened out at home and now for the next few weeks I will be out hunting both quail and pheasants with him.lvrgsp wrote:Thanks for the compliment Brooks, but I don't own Jade.
