Re: Post dogs on Point!!!!
Ranger is a very well put together dog & I recognize his breeding lines almost every time I see it.
Here is one of mine from the same kind of lines on the sire side.My avatar dog also from those sire lines a little farther back.
In all I have counted 10 dogs in this thread that have came from or are out of dogs that came from my kennel. They all started from Ace & Ginger 2 of the 10.I bought them from Bob Merkel's Wrengade Kennels in Jesup,Iowa as 7 wk old pups in 1994.
The other eight Bella,Fancy,Fergie,Lexi,Maggie,Sonny,Storm,& Yap all started with Ace & Ginger.

Sharon, I've been told that life without a GSP is pointless....I don't know about that, but it would be less fun for me

Looking good Craig. I was gonna go try to find some wild birds today. Ground had dried up pretty good but them rained last night. Overcast now but no rain coming down, maybe tomorrow.

Re: Post dogs on Point!!!!
Yes he is but he can be a bit narrow minded! Who care's, he does everything I ask him. Started releasing pigeons for him on whoa yesterday, several more today. Standing really well. Released a couple for him a couple days ago and he got bunched up but one whoa and he stopped and watched them fly away.

That's a very nice dog. Young?
Re: Post dogs on Point!!!!
Had a little time yesterday afternoon to put a few pigeons out for the dogs. Had one of the nicest looking points I have seen from my Katie dog. Wished I hadn't put the collar on her, it would have been a nice picture otherwise. She's coming in season though and didn't want her to go her own way when I let her out.

Re: Post dogs on Point!!!!
While romping my pointy guys a couple weeks ago at Ft Lewis, Seven (brittany) went on a point and then Robert and Ruby came up from the side and saw Seven on a point. I wasn't expecting to find any "real" birds. We were just out having a run. Apparently, there was at least one pheasant still in the area from the last of the release pheasant hunts they had earlier in the season. I had my cell phone with me and took these pics. Not the best quality, for sure, but it's nice to have some pics of them all together like that. After taking a few pics, I walked in toward Seven and a hen flushed low and over Seven's head. He held for a mini-second and then gave a short chase. We've still got some training to do.
