Hunting with JD - My Llewellin
Hunting with JD - My Llewellin
JD is going on 5 years old now and he's a wonderful gundog. He's not a boot licker. He'll reach out there 500 yards and more at times which is great for here in Montana... He can cover a lot of ground in a hurry, which with my old legs is great.....he saves me a lot of walking! We got into a lot of Sharptails and Huns this morning. If I could shoot better, the pot would be full. I managed to knock down a few, but missed more than I hit......just one of those days. JD did great... He's rock solid on point and has an unbelievable nose....sometimes I think he 's false pointing, but I'm usually wrong. If he points, there's a bird there but as often as not they are 100 yards out in front.

Beautiful dog. I really like the chestnut on a LLewellin. Thanks for sharing.
I'd rather live on the side of a mountain, than wander through canyons of concrete and steel.
