Congratulations!!! to owner/handler Brett Bryan and his male dog 1 x NSTRA Ch. Bryan's Sin City Boss on winning the NSTRA Mid South Region High Point Dog of the Year. Quit an accomplishment for only his 3rd season running in NSTRA. He has also done very well placing his young bitch Heart as well. Thanks for the hard work and dedication Brett and best of luck at the Trial of Champions and Dog of the Year Trials.

Congratulations Brett. That is, IMO, the highest honor and hardest to achieve. You have to hit the trials and be consistantly in the placements. That is saying something! You going to Ch TRIAL?

Bobby, thanks for the kind words. I appreciate everyones congrats.

Sonny, didn't I meet you at the Quail Forever Trail in GA a couple months
back? Sonny, I just looked on your website. I did meet you in GA. I enjoyed meeting you and talking with you. My dad really liked you as well. Especially, when you were trying to get Jeff Gambel to pull "one" of his sick dogs to help me get in on the standby list. You have a friend here in TN. I'm glad your dog did well in the AL region trial. I look forward to seeing and visiting with you again.

I like the picture of your dogs AceofSpades.

Snips, It is hard to do. Like you said, you have to consistently beat the other dogs in your region. And that's not real easy to do because you know as well as I do there are some tough dogs to beat out there. I was lucky enough to put it together with Boss this year. I will be at the Trial of CH in Amo, IN this year. I also plan on going back to Amo, IN for the Dog of the Year Trial in October. I expect I should do better with Boss in October. Last year when I ran in IN at the Trail of CH it was almost 80 degrees when we turned loose. Boss runs a little hard for that kind of weather. But, I'm going to go back this April and give it a shot anyway. He deserves a shot at it. And who knows, maybe it will be cooler up there this year. I assume you and Rick will be there. I look forward to seeing you and Rick. Maybe, I'll buy a couple more kids t-shirts. My kids love when I bring them those T-shirts. Maybe, in a few years, they will be old enough to go with me.
Thanks again to all for the kind words. Sorry for the slow response to the post. Sometimes I don't visit the Bulletin boards too much.

Sonny, Funny you should ask. I was in Tunica, MS back in September. We had been dove hunting at home in TN that morning and all the doves in the state of TN had left. I know this because we passed them as we drove south to Tunica, MS. But, anyhow, we went to gamble in Tunica since we no longer had doves. I had been at a blackjack table for a couple hours and was doing pretty well for myself. I was on a real "hot streak". I was knocking back a few beers in the process. Well, during one of the shuffles, I had to find a bathroom. I could take it no longer. I had to go after all those beers. Well, I was in a hurry to get back to my post, as I was going to continue my "hot streak". When something dressed in white and kind of flashy caught my eye. He was heading through the slot machine area going toward the buffet. He had mostly grey hair though, so it really didn't register in my brain to what I had just seen. But, as I took my perch at the blackjack table it dawned on me. That man had wide, thick grey sideburns with a collar that was kicked up. Was it? Could it have been? I can't say for sure. The dealer started dealing again and my buddies just thought I had too many beers. That night at the Horseshoe Casino someone lost a Blue Suede shoe. Coincidence?

Snips, Collierville is right outside Memphis. I live about 40 minutes from Collierville, TN. I'm about 40 minutes northeast of Memphis, TN. I would love to come out to Collierville and watch the trail. I'm not sure I will be able to or not. My buddy took his dog out to that trial last year as a derby. My buddy said there was a nice shorthair there last year from Alabama, I think. Anyway, if I don't make it out there, Good Luck to you. I hope you do well. Which dog are you going to run in it?

Sonny, how you pronounce that town you are from?
