It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

Congrats. Although I kind of wish anyone but Matt and Moon would have won. He is tough with that dog :P He has become the one to beat in our region.

I can't believe I didn't qualify Cooper. I had my chances. Handler errors. I'll be there next year.

Thanks for an update on the Champ Trial. I was getting ready to start a posting asking about it. Glad to see Townsend made the cut. Did Townsend take any other dogs. I trianed with him the week before he left but forgot to ask.

He is doing OK. In the last two trials he has taken 2 firsts. I do have him for sale. He is a super nice dog with a super nice ped. So if anyone is interested I will take $2000.00. Most his finds are in the high 80's if not 90's, Retrieves are in the 80's, backing is his thing and has got 73's and most times 65 and higher (He loves to back), his OB is always high(handles like a glove). He has the making to be a Champion!
What I don't like about him is one time he will run like the wind, eating up the ground at mach 14 and slam birds in the process, the next time he will be out there for a little afternoon walk in the flowers! Each trial he is gettting bigger and bigger. He has 4 1st place pts and one 4th place. I have only ran him I think 7 times in trials. He is a super nice dog to hunt wild birds with. He has a great nose and points his birds off a mile. I used him all year to guide with so he knows what birds are. I think I figured we had over 2000 birds shot over him this year. He will stand a walking bird until he falls over dead too.
So if anyone wants a great dog for NSTRA here he is. This guy has STYLE!

He was my hope for a horse back dog. he was a runner at a young age but a couple times getting lost over night did him in I think. He will run from a wheeler and power up the biggest hills and run miles ahead. You shut the wheeler down and he is on your heels. If they would let me run him from wheeler I would have something super!
