ccl20 - That's cool - I am glad you have found your choc biddable and a good worker - just goes to show that I may be wrong. However, I was merely stating that the chocolates I have trained - and still do train, if in my class, are not quite as quick as their black or yellow cousins. Maybe it is their lack of breeding here in the UK.
HOWEVER, I thought this site was a friendly site where everyone was free to air their opinions.
What I do not appreciate is the fact that someone who does not even know my background, can slate my training history, without even giving any valid comments such as yours.
I have trained dogs for over 12 years, 2 of which were professionally at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. I teach classes where I see ALL dogs, including crossbreeds (more can be learnt from them than any purebred) - - lacking as a trainer? - ask the hundreds of people I have trained - (

Surely the idea of 'Forums' is to discuss, in a civilised manner our passion for dogs. Like I said in another post - if you cannot continue learning then you can't be a real trainer. Nobody know every single thing about dog training - as dogs are all different - like us they are thinking, sentient beings.
So for someone to say 'you're crap' when they don't know the first thing about me is DOWNRIGHT IGNORANT AND RUDE.

Just as quick p.s. Here in the UK we have used black and yellows for years, it has only been recently that the browns have started to work, having been initially bred as chocolates for the show lines. Like I said maybe it is their lack of good working breeding stock?
