Apparently this guy thought there was a market for guns without the ring. Why, I don't know. Talk to him and you'll understand he ain't no dummy.

Not worth arguing over.

Betcha it's only a matter of time before it becomes a standard feature, though.

Must be why they put blaze grips on it...in case you drop it.

I'd rather black grips and a lanyard ring.....for $210

Sure, it'll become a "standard feature"....at $225

It's like this. You want a lanyard ring its 225 to your door. If not, it's 200 from him or Dogs Afield.

I am not arguing. I am merely stating that there had to be a reason he did not put one on the thing. I am also stating that if you go to buy one of these things you are btter off getting it from him and not another middle-man.

Anyhow, do your homework and I'm sure you'll come up with whatever works best for you.

Oh trust me...done the homework. I want one badly, with the lanyard ring, and I'll even pay the $225....but I want it a .22. So you see how it's kinda moot point for me?
I'm just having some fun here.

Maybe you could bend his ear to make a .22 version. Seems like a reasonable guy!

I'm having fun too

A couple years back a pointy dog pro had a H&R pistol...the real .22 pistola with a 9" barrel. Needed some work on the index mechanicals. So I get on Numerich's site order then parts and get it whipped into shape. The it dawned on me...that H&R pistol was made in the same method as the H&R and NEF blank shooter...except for, THE SWING OUT CYLINDER.

I thought, "Hey man, I could by the parts for the real pistol, and convert my blank gun." Alas....I lost interest. Would have made a cool piece.

I think the swing out cylinder is the key. It would have been a cool "piece".

Funny story, before I bought my GunX I had one of those cheapy ones with the wooden grips and I left a trial to go run for supplies at a local convenience store. I forgot I had the gun on in the holster. I walked in and got some ice, some tasty adult beverages and a couple cadbury eggs (sweet-aholic). Anyhow, the clerks eyes got really big and he kept looking at my belt and I couldn't figure out why he was acting so strange. I paid for everything and left and as I walked out I realized what he had saw and chuckled to myself as I pulled away. I could just see the headline now in the local paper (or on here):

"Suspect holds up convenience store with a blank gun! On ethe evening news!"

I just found a new 32 cal NEF.for 125. Would it be worth it to pick it up and then get 209 inserts or not?
The 32 blanks are spendy.

Just found a Kilmer at Gander Mountain on sale for $45, so I'm giving it a try.

Don't buy a Kimar. Mine had to be sent in to be repaired 3 times in less than 12 months. Buy the best on you can. You'll save a lot of money in the end and be alot happier

I found a nib NEF 22 blank gun on Gunbroker last year paid $180.00 plus $20.00 shipping. Well worth it to me. I also picked up a couple of old H&R 22's and had lanyard rings put on.

Both above are very dependable. the H&R's were made in 1959 and 1961. I use the green ram set loads and they are plenty loud enough.

Hope this helps
