Here is some pics of some of my lofts the newest is the large one. It strictly a flight loft as you can tell by the perch style. I have not made the trap for it yet. Besides these pictured here I have anouther one like the small ones here and a 8x16 loft.

I have to build a loft this spring. Which style do you prefer? Which is the easiest to maneuver around in and catch birds for training?

Nice loft's. I see a lot of guys have that low re-enrty. I guess it doesn't pose a problem? Mine are both fairly high. Now I'm not sure why anymore! Does that deck fold up as a varmit door?

There is a door that comes up when the birds are flying and I close it every night. I left it open before and had problems. Even with a high door it don't stop the hawks. I have had coopers in most my lofts. I am building a really cool trap that I believe will eliminate pretty much all predators. It will be on the large one here and this loft will be a free loft. That means I will never close it. I will post pics of it when I get it done.

I had a Cooper get in one time. On my big pen, I have a large opening over the re-entry that closes. I left it open once and got a halk in. The re-entry under it has three narrow slots ant the bidrs have to go in and drop down to get in. I copied it from a racer. He uses it the catch the birds from a race and get the rubber band off. Has worked good but a bit harder to get the birds started back in. Does keep out the hawks tho!
