I am researching 3 hole boxes. I have a full size pickup. My question is does anyone have a 3 dr, 57-60" by 30-36 inch box? I hunt GSP's, and other dogs that may be around 50-60lbs. Are they big enough for dogs that size to turn around in?
I am looking at CCS, Diamond Deluxe, Owen, Alumline, and Deer Creek. I am also looking at Alumilene. Impressive system but not sure about keeping dogs warn in the winter. I need some warmth since I live in midwest and hunt some up north..
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks, dale
3 Door Dog Box
Re: 3 Door Dog Box
You should be fine, I havent ever had a dog freeze to death but I have seen them over heat. Some straw will keep them plenty warm.

I have the CSS - 3 hole box...DT#700 - 46″x27″x36″ http://creativedogboxes.com/truck-dog-boxes/ I have 50-55 lb setters and even in that one, they get in, stand up and turn around. Piles of straw/hay in there and they stay warm. I like it - I watch them closely after a hunt/training in this bitter cold. Plenty of ventilation to. If you are in KC, you should be fine. I m in WI and love them.

Can you tell me how wide each of your three compartments are on your CCS 3 hole that is 46" wide? Is the box well constructed, and does it have any insulate lining at all? Thank you much..PntrRookie wrote:I have the CSS - 3 hole box...DT#700 - 46″x27″x36″ http://creativedogboxes.com/truck-dog-boxes/ I have 50-55 lb setters and even in that one, they get in, stand up and turn around.
