Re: Antlers
It is not risk free (what is?) but I let my pups chew on deer antlers. They need something to teeth on and I want to imprint them on antlers for shed hunting.

Re: Antlers
I also don't think they would be a problem for a puppy. But once they get their permanent teeth, I say no. I have had three dogs break a tooth, that then has to be pulled, on antlers...
I know many have dogs that chew on these all the time, but I have had bad luck with them...

Re: Antlers
I did have a ACD break a tooth on a nylabone.
Re: Antlers
My vet told me "found" antlers are full of bacteria and I should not use them.

Re: Antlers
Its hard for me to imagine antlers have any more bacteria than some of the stuff I've seen my dog slurp down or chew on, but what do I know?
Re: Antlers
